Since I adopted Charlotte from the SPCA I will do the same for my next cat. I made the mistake of going on the website today and checking the cats. It always makes me sad but man look at this guy, his name is Rudy and is a siamese mix. Imagine the funny pics you could get of him. He is old though and I don't think I could get an old cat again, 4 years was just too short with Charlotte.

Today Dave and I walked to Watson's Bay (the park where we celebrated mother's day), it's about 11km away. I am pooped. The sun was shinning, the water was crystal clear and I finished my last exam yesterday!

In trying to find out what me next "coffee" experience should be I've been reading up on the different drinks:

Since Charlotte's untimely death I have been thinking a lot about getting a dog, more specifically a Shiba Inu. From what I have read so far:

Pro: Because of their fastidious and proud nature, Shiba puppies are easy to housebreak and in many cases will housebreak themselves. (ooo like a self-cleaning oven!)

Con: A distinguishing characteristic of the breed is the so-called "shiba scream". When sufficiently provoked or unhappy, the dog will produce a loud, high pitched scream. (wtf? has anyone ever heard this?)

I know my mom and aunt are shaking their heads after reading this post. BUT THEY ARE SO CUTE!

Knowing another language means you can watch artsy french movies without the sub-titles.

Last night I watched the Gainsbourg movie, if you like Parisian extravagance (smoking, sex, smoking, witty sexy woman, smoking and more smoking) then you might like this movie. The french do it way better, everything. I mean if your country produces the best pastries and the best looking woman you are doing something right.

What gets me about this movie is how Gainsbourg uses his charm and talent to get woman, who cares if you could hang your jacket off his nose.

When my mom took Charlotte to the vet to be put down he asked her how old she thought the cat was. Her best guess was 6 years old. The vet must have looked at her funny because he was like "My guess is that she is more around the ages of 14-16". Awkward.

I am sad to announce that Charlotte has passed away. It's hard not to keep crying all the time but I am comforted by the thought that I saved her from the SPCA 4 years ago and that my family and i gave her a good life. I'm sad that I wasn't there with her in the end but I know my parents loved her dearly and made the right choice. (thank you for not telling me she ran away)

Don't let my photos fool you. It may look warm (and it is when you are sitting in the direct sun) but inside our place is a different story.
